Kane Scores Twice as England Beat Czechia 3-0
England picked up the pieces of the 2-0 loss to Czechia on the night and made the most of the win in UEFA Nations League Group A3 on 6 October 2026. Harry Kane had his 125th international, and scored twice, matching Peter Shilton's England men's appearance record. Early on, Thomas Tuchel's men took the lead when Vladimír Coufal's own goal put them ahead.
The outcome also had much to offer the fans of the football betting market, especially in terms of goalscorer selections and match result predictions. England dominated the play, and they had the better of the opportunities as well as stifling Czechia from having a shot on target. Their third straight Nations League win meant that they were sitting on nine points from four games.
Coufal's own goal puts England up 1-0
England had a strong start to the game, forcing Czechia back and finding chances from open play and set pieces. Goalkeeper Lukáš Horníček was tested by Trent Alexander-Arnold's long-range free kick and Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson also had good attacking options in the third.
It came in the 27th minute. Kane then played a cross into the box from the right, and he scored. Coufal tried his best to deal with the ball but managed to hit it into the net, giving England a fair lead.
Czechia had some trouble getting a foothold in dangerous regions. They sometimes managed to get on the ball but an England midfield that picked the ball up smartly and applied pressure around the visitors' defence limited their progress.
In the 40th minute England extended their advantage to 2-0. Anderson delivered a measured pass to Rogers, who put one in front of the Czech defence. The captain's 90th international goal was the end of his record-breaking appearance.
The hosts entered the break with a 2-0 lead as they had used their home-ground advantage to establish a comfortable lead.
Kane's second goal makes it 2-0.
England maintained their pressure post restart. Myles Lewis-Skelly helped to initiate an attack that saw Kane hit the crossbar and later Jude Bellingham saw an attack blocked by Horníček.
It was in the 57th minute when the third goal was scored. Lewis Hall put it in the corner and Kane came up to head a shot in the near post. His second goal of the night was his ninth on the international stage and was enough to put the game out of reach for Czechia.
Tuchel soon started to shake things up on the wing. James Garner got in for Elliot Anderson and Jarrad Branthwaite for Marc Guéhi in the sixty third minute. Two other substitutions were also made in the second half - Rio Ngumoha and Morgan Gibbs-White came on when there were 8 minutes of normal time left - before Dominic Calvert-Lewin was sent off for Kane.
Czechia tried to make a move, but from a distance it didn't threaten Jordan Pickford. The rest of the evening was played with England putting on another fine defensive display without conceding.

England's three on target were effective, with three goals being scored from them. Pickford was similarly not used often as the home side kept Czechia at bay, denying them any sort of attacking threat.
This helps to set a context for football's live markets, where goals and other events during the game can influence prices available. This is different than the turn-based actions of casino games that users are able to enjoy by playing chicken road zambia. However, one can review the England side of the match in terms of the statistics that have been noted and the flow of the score.
That was a very special clean sheet. England have conceded just three goals in their first game against Spain in the opening round of the Nations League, and have now held three consecutive clean sheets.
However, Tuchel's strategy produces yet another impressive outcome.
Tuchel's side played a mobile style of attack and a solid defensive framework. Alexander-Arnold and Hall were able to provide width from the full-back positions, whilst Anderson and Lewis-Skelly were able to play in midfield to keep possession and pick up ground balls.
Rogers was a supply of the cross for Kane's first goal, while Hall was the source of the third goal from a corner. They contributed to the diversity of England's attack, the chances coming as a result both of open play and set pieces.
Post-match Tuchel commended the team for their fluidity, concentration and increasing unity. He also emphasized the need for training and players' commitment to implementing the tactical plan.
It was Tuchel's 20th win as England manager in 26 games, the quickest of any Three Lions manager.
The evening was also noteworthy for Kane's stats. With the two goals he has scored his international tally to 13 – the second highest number scored by an England player in a calendar year after his 16 goals in 2021.
Group A3 still holds the race up until November.
England have come from a strong run of Nations League form. They finished their double over Czechia with the defeat of Spain 3-2 in September and the 7-0 home victory and the 2-0 away defeat of Croatia.
The three victories saw England score 12 goals in response with no goals scored themselves to take the team to nine points. After four matches, Spain were still at the top of Group A3 with 1-0 victories in all their games.

England are in good form to move on from the group stages but the final group stage order has not yet been decided. Nations League - League A: Top 2 of each group advance to the knockout stage.
November meetings with Croatia and Spain will test England's progress
England return to Nations League action on 12 November, when they host Croatia at Wembley. Three days later, they travel to face Spain in their final group fixture.
The Croatia match offers an opportunity to build on the attacking performance that produced seven goals in Rijeka. The meeting with Spain presents a different challenge, particularly after England's narrow defeat in the opening round.
Kane's landmark appearance and England's third consecutive clean sheet provide encouraging signs for Tuchel. The next two fixtures will offer a clearer indication of how far the team has progressed against opponents with different tactical strengths.
For now, the 3-0 victory over Czechia stands out for three reasons: Kane equalled England's appearance record, reached 91 international goals and helped maintain a winning run that has put the Three Lions firmly in contention for a place in the Nations League knockout rounds.
